Jesse

“I'm excited to get baptised, and I'm doing it because I want Jesus to be the King of my life. I also hope that this baptism would be an encouragement for others!”

Serena

“I want to publicly declare my faith in Jesus as I have seen how God has changed and matured me over the years. I also pray that this moment would be encouraging for the church and my friends.”

Luke

“I am getting baptised because I want to publicly share my faith, putting my whole life in the hands of Jesus Christ”

Annabelle

“I want to get baptised because I want to follow Jesus as true king and saviour and be with Him in heaven eternally. I want others to know more about God so they can also be with Him forever.”

Naomi

“I’m getting baptised because I don’t want to keep waiting, telling myself that I’ll do it when I’m older. I want to tell everyone that Jesus is the forever king, and I will live my life for him.”

What’s baptism?

Baptism represents the acceptance of the following things:

  • Christ’s death washes us clean from sin. We accept His forgiveness and choose to live apart from sin. (Romans 6:4; 1 Peter 3:21)

  • We are united with Christ, so that with Him, we will overcome death. (John 3:5; Mark 16:16)

  • We choose to make a personal commitment to follow Jesus, as the King of our life. His ways are good. (Galatians 3:27)

Baptism makes a firm declaration of our personal decision to follow Jesus.
