Calvin Ma was trained in science, medicine and theology and was the associate pastor at Swanston Street Church of Christ (now CrossCulture Church of Christ) from 1991-1993. Joyce has a background in accounting. In 1993, Calvin, Joyce and their two daughters, joined OMF International. They have served in different ministry and leadership roles within OMF in South Korea, Australia, North East Asia, Hong Kong and Singapore. They retired from OMF in 2023. Calvin and Joyce have a long association with ECC, both as supported missionaries since 1993 and as active members from 2004-2010, 2020 - current. They are actively involved in ECC, including preaching, growth group, Way to Go and the ECC Missions Team.
